Challah Program
We are proud to announce that this year’s Challah will be provided by Natalie’s Kitchen,who makes the most delicious Challah. We encourage you to try the challah program this year. Natalie’s Kitchen is also offering a 10% discount to Levine Academy families towards their restaurant and grocery shop
There are three ways to participate in the Challah program to enhance your Shabbat experience:
- Weekly Challah: - Weekly Challah will be distributed to your children every Friday. The program will begin Friday, August 29, 2008 and end May 22, 2009. Note that if school is not in session on both Thursday and Friday, there will be no Shabbat Challah that week.
- Holiday Challah: - Holiday Challah is a 2 lb. round loaf and can be ordered with or without raisins. When you order weekly and holiday Challah if the holidays fall on Shabbat, you will still receive the weekly Challah.
- Challot Sponsorship: - Each class receives a Challah for Kabbalat Shabbat. This is an opportunity for you to underwrite the cost by becoming a sponsor in your child’s name. Sponsorship levels vary plus your child will receive recognition for sponsoring the Challah.
- There is also an opportunity to sponsor Challah for the Shabbat program in the ECC’s 3’s classes. Each week different children will bring home a Shabbat Box with special items for a wonderful Shabbat experience at home.
